This guide is designed to help you select
the various options for the Freestyle Terrain Safety Sign that is designed for use at the
entry area of any Freestyle Terrain.
There are four tailoring options listed below
that are required to complete your order.
Each section has specific recommendations
and requirements. Optional customization
is also discussed.
Scroll down to review the specific wording requirements which are described below.
Once you have determined your required wording, contact one of our expert staff at
(800) 525-0456 to discuss how your sign will
be tailored to your resort.
Then just click the blue 'Order Now' button to
get pricing and material options and check out!

Box One, Option 1: The top left corner is designed to contain the Orange Oval and, if your resort chooses, the size or sizes of features contained in your Freestyle Terrain park or learning area.
Feature size is relative to your resort only. For example, if your park consists of all medium features then place the word 'Medium' inside of the top left Orange Oval.
If your park contains multiple sized features, such as small and medium, place 'Small-Medium' inside the Orange Oval.
If your park contains small, medium and large features then place all three inside of the Orange Oval. | Click on Image To Enlarge |
Box One, Option 2: With respect to helmets, there are different schools of thought and two options are offered:
- Helmets are Recommended
- Consider wearing a helmet
Choose the option that most closely fits with your resort's operation and philosophy. | Click on Image To Enlarge |
Box Two: This box is also self-explanatory. Please note: some states will still require a green, blue or black trail designation in order to comply with their particular state's ski statute.
There is nothing wrong with adding a trail difficulty designation if your resort wishes to. If you have questions check with your legal counsel.

Box Three: This language has been developed in conjunction with Smart Style and does a good job of outlining responsibilities, warning and applicable information for users.

Box Four: Option Three: Resorts may choose either 'inverted aerials are not recommended' or 'inverted aerials are prohibited' according to your resort's policy.
Option Four: This assumption of risk language and injury advisement can be used in one of two forms:
1) Including the words 'or death'
and
2) Deleting these two words.
Once again, this should be worded consistently with your resort's operation and philosophy. | Click on Image To Enlarge |
